It all started with Car Photography... An Idea... Support... Centennial...

In 2015, when Centennial Honda hired Eric Rodgerson to guide their digital marketing strategy, no one could have predicted that it would lead to a completely separate division of Centennial Auto Group. Eric certainly didn’t.

Eric was originally hired to photograph used vehicles and showcase them on digital platforms, which were really beginning to engage large audiences. Social media channels such as Facebook and Instagram became an integral part of Centennial’s digital strategy. Over the course of the first year, Eric would also introduce fully-responsive websites, Google search engine marketing, and display ads on the Google Display network for all locations in the group.

A few months into his tenure, Centennial began to greatly expand its footprint on Prince Edward Island as well. In addition to its Carstar and Auto Sport & Tire divisions, several new automotive brands and stores joined the group. Centennial Nissan of Charlottetown, Centennial Nissan of Summerside, Centennial Mazda, and Centennial Kia became part of the growing team. Centennial Carstar also launched three additional locations in New Brunswick and one in Nova Scotia.

It was during the first few months of these new acquisitions that Eric took on the title of Marketing Director for the group. He began to brand Centennial Auto Group as the Island’s premier automotive retailer, and build Centennial’s marketing team. That team now consists of seven professional marketers, specializing in different areas of marketing, but working together to engage current clientele and attract new customers.

Then 2020 happened.

COVID affected every industry. It was no different in the automotive world. We faced some significant challenges; challenges quickly adapted, and actioned by our team. It’s in our nature to face challenges head-on and to embrace all possible solutions. Our team was able to quickly create new programs for customers to purchase safely from home. This not only captured the attention of customers locally, but also some of the large automotive brands with which we work. By the time COVID restrictions were lifted, our future-proof strategies were already in place and were very successful in driving traffic back into our stores. This is when we kickstarted the conversation about offering our services to other businesses in need.

In June 2020, Sandy Gallant was hired as our first official KMI employee. Sandy is a talented graphic designer and sign installer. With the purchase of a new vinyl printer and location obtained behind Centennial Honda, KMI was born. KMI inherits Centennial Auto Group’s team of experienced marketers including Allan Clow, Tim Cain, Kelly Dowling, Julie Clow, and Wendy Gallant.

KMI stands for Kember Management Inc. The Kember family has owned and operated Centennial since 1979.

ERIC RODGERSON

As Director of Operations, Eric seeks new clients and supports existing clients with all of their digital needs. His experience in the competitive automotive market is really what sets him apart from the competition. Centennial Auto Group’s digital growth was largely dependent on Eric’s vision, dedication and hard work. Eric is excited about the opportunity to help you and your business to reach their goals.

ALLAN CLOW

Allan is an advertising guru. His passion for marketing is unlike any other. Allan guides the digital strategy for KMI and its clients. By way of analytics, hard data, and market research he goes to work to make the most of your marketing dollars. He excels under pressure, and is an asset to Centennial Auto Group as well as KMI Media & Design. 

SANDY GALLANT

Our main man for all of your graphic design needs, Sandy has over 20 years of experience helping customers make their brand visible. From yard signs, to backlit signs. From vehicle lettering, to complete trailer wraps. From business cards, to custom brochures. There is literally nothing we won’t tackle with Sandy at the helm of our Graphic Design and Commercial Printing division. He has an incredible talent for making your vision a reality.
